New Jerome Biblical commentary

The New Jerome Biblical Commentary is a one volume Bible commentary written by Roman Catholic scholars according to the principles of modern biblical criticism. It is a revision of the Jerome Biblical Commentary and 2/3 of the content is new. All articles are numbered and are broken down into sections. There are two basic kinds of articles: topical and commentary. A list of contributors indicating the contributor’s institutional affiliation and entries for which the contributor is responsible is provided; many of the contributors are top scholars in the field. There is an index, 2 maps, a list of abbreviations used throughout, and a suggested basic bibliography. Additionally, the bibliography for each article is provided at the beginning of the article. This is a good compact biblical commentary by some of the leading scholars in the field.
